Partnering with local churches, the Riverside City Mission provides hot meals and sack lunches for poor families and the homeless, four days a week in various locations throughout Riverside.  In addition, the Mission sponsors special holiday community outreach meals for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.  Last year the Mission provided 118,100 hot meals, sack lunches and food box meals for the hungry.

     Sharing a hot meal together is not only a blessing but the fellowship is good too.

     Using volunteers for sorting, packing and delivering, the Riverside City Mission distributes an average of 250 food boxes per month to needy families.  Each food box supplies an average of 25 - 35 meals.  Families sign up for food boxes in advance of delivery dates.  This service is widely utilized by homebound seniors and shut-ins.
